    NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, including Kindergarten, you must register for school online.  Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.

Kindergarten registration opens on February 3, 2025 and closes on March 19, 2025.  Click on this link to learn more about Kindergarten registration

Join us for our Kindergarten Open House on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Kindergarten age - Children who are five years old on or before December 31, 2025 may register in Kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year.  The Alberta government changed the entry age for students registering in Kindergarten, beginning in 2020-21. The entry age is the first year that a child may enter Kindergarten, and does not mean it is the only year children are eligible for Kindergarten. This is based on Alberta Education funding guidelines.

Use our online calculator to find out when a child can start Kindergarten.

    DESIGNATED SCHOOL

Resident students can attend their designated school if they make their selection no later than 4 p.m. on March 19, 2025. However, if their designated school uses a lottery process, some students may not be able to attend that school.

A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic.

Use the Find a School tool to find your designated school.

    CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL

Parents need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you'd like your child to attend next year.  Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens February 3, 2025 to March 19, 2025.

Principal's Message

‌‌Welcome to our school! At Clara Tyner we strive to create a positive climate for learning that promotes high academic achievement and fosters healthy emotional, intellectual, social, creative and physical growth.  We believe that the purpose of education is to produce citizens who strive for personal academic excellence and who contribute to the well-being and growth of themselves, their peers and the community.

“Growing Class & Building Character...Together” is our motto that you will see reflected in our learning activities and service projects.  Clara Tyner staff support all learners through an educational strengths-based approach where we collaborate, refine teaching practices and build engaging learning environments.

Student learning is enhanced through the use of home and community resources.  As we engage in learning activities with our students, we seek ways to incorporate guest speakers and community resources into our instruction.  We believe these partnerships not only help make learning meaningful but also allows students to appreciate a variety of career pathways that they may not have been exposed to before.  We encourage our current families to check Schoolzone regularly for school news, class news and Division news.

The learning environment is enriched with all of us working together!
